Our story

We built the software
we desperately needed

Quelori started in a wellness centre in southern Spain — frustrated, overworked, and patching together three different tools. Here’s how we got here.

“I kept a whiteboard next to my desk covered in sticky notes — one for treatments, one for yoga, one for the retreats. That was my ‘system’.”

Andreas Bon — Co-founder, Quelori
Hotel & Wellness Centre Operator, Marbella

Where it began

A hotel, a wellness centre, and no software that worked.

In 2021, Andreas Bon was running the spa and wellness programme at a boutique hotel in Marbella. The property offered everything — deep tissue massage, hot stone treatments, a weekly yoga schedule, and twice-yearly retreats on the terrace overlooking the sea.

The problem was the software. Treatments were booked through one system. Yoga classes through another. Retreats were managed with a spreadsheet, a WhatsApp group, and a lot of anxiety about who had paid their deposits.

He tried Mindbody. Too corporate, too complex, built for chains — not for a 12-person team that needed to be up and running before breakfast service. He tried Fresha. Great for the treatments, useless for retreats. He tried Retreat Guru for the retreats. Suddenly he had three logins, three sets of client data, and three tools his team had to learn.

After a particularly chaotic retreat check-in — two guests who had paid weren’t on the list, one therapist was double-booked, and the deposit tracking spreadsheet had corrupted — Andreas sat down with his tech contact, Marta, and said: “We’re just going to build it ourselves.”

How we got here

The road from sticky notes
to software

2021 — Marbella
The whiteboard phase
Andreas runs wellness operations at Hotel Levante. Three booking systems, two spreadsheets, one exhausted team. The double-booked retreat that broke the camel’s back happens in October.
2022 — Evenings and weekends
The prototype
Andreas and Marta Lindqvist — a developer friend from his Stockholm days — build the first working version. Treatments, classes, and retreats in one calendar. Used by exactly one hotel: Hotel Levante. It works.
2023 — Stockholm
The team grows
Word spreads through a Swedish wellness association newsletter. Three more spas ask to try it. Jonas Eriksson joins from a decade running spa operations at Nordic hotels. He rewrites the booking logic. The product starts to look like software instead of a side project.
2024 — Barcelona & London
The gap becomes a business
Léa Morin — UX designer and former yoga studio owner in Barcelona — redesigns the product from scratch, bringing real warmth to something that had been purely functional. Sofia Andersen, who’d left a Fresha customer success role frustrated by what operators were being charged, joins to build the support and onboarding experience. By the end of the year they have 40 paying customers and zero marketing spend.
2025 — Formally founded
Quelori is born
The company is formally incorporated. James Okafor joins as the fifth team member to build out the retreat payment system — having managed retreat bookings manually for a wellness centre in London for four years and knowing exactly what needed to be solved.
2026 — Today
The platform goes live
Quelori launches publicly. A team of five, built between Sweden and Spain, shipping the product we all needed when we were still running wellness businesses ourselves.

What we believe

Three things we won’t compromise on — because we’ve seen what happens when software forgets them.

01
Software should earn its place in your day
Most business software makes you do more work, not less. We measure success by how little you have to think about us — not by how often you open the app.
02
Wellness businesses run differently
A spa is not a salon. A retreat centre is not a hotel. A yoga studio is not a gym. We built Quelori for how wellness businesses actually work — not how software companies assume they do.
03
Your clients are yours
No marketplace. No commission. No platform promoting other businesses to your guests. We charge a flat fee and stay out of your client relationships. We think that’s how it should work.
The team

Five people who’ve all been
on the other side of the front desk

Every person on the Quelori team has worked in or closely with wellness businesses. That’s not a marketing line — it’s why the product works the way it does.

Where we work

Built between Sweden and Spain

We’re a distributed team that works across Stockholm, Marbella, and Barcelona — which means we actually understand what it means to build software for European wellness businesses. We understand GDPR, we understand how different markets think about wellness, and we understand the difference between a Nordic spa and a Mediterranean retreat.

We serve wellness businesses across Europe. Not because it’s our target market — because it’s our home.

Run your whole wellness business.
From one place.

Treatments, classes, and retreats — one platform. Up and running this afternoon.
